Hey everyone!

I was contacted by Cellnique a month ago and they were kind enough to send me 2 products to try out & review for you. :)

So here's what I had received:

I received:

Off with Those Heads - A serum specially made to clear your nasties on your strawberry nose i.e. blackheads & whiteheads
Spots Got Shot - This is a blemish treatment serum that helps to control oil & reduce spots and blemishes

*Click on the product names above to know more about the products. :)

I was actually quite surprised that the package came in securely wrapped (took me 10 minutes to figure out where the tape starts LOL!) and I was so excited I think I took more time squealing rather than opening the package.

I've been using these 2 products religiously for a month now, and I am quite liking it so far, especially Off with Those Heads! Spots Got Shot is a hit-and-miss for me though, will tell you more in a while.

So here's a photo of my face (sans make-up) 1 month ago. My pimples came back after I've stopped my old medication, so sad! I wasted money for nothing. Grr. Oh, and I wasn't able to take a close up photo of my nose area, my camera is so bad! Even after putting it on macro mode, it doesn't capture the pores.

Front view (one eye's bigger than the other! LOL)

Here you can see the zits with the pus... Eww, disgusting much?

Over this side of my face there's these tiny 'bumps' you can see on the surface.. It was really irritating though! Neither whiteheads nor pimples, I have no idea what's it called?

Here's how I incorporate both products into my daily facial routine:

The ones highlighted in red/maroon are the sponsored items.

I've also been 'revamping' my skincare routine, just because I felt I needed to get out from the same old products I've been using over & over for the past maybe couple of years. If you girls are interested in any of the other skincare products mentioned above, do let me know and I'll put up a review for you :)

Here's a swatch of both products on my hand:

From top:
Off with Those Heads - a clear transparent gel like consistency
Spots Got Shot - an opaque whitish cream

Off with Those Heads:

So in the mornings and evenings after I wash my face, I will pat my skin dry with a face towel before I proceed to slather Off with Those Heads on my face & neck area. It says on the box to use 2-3 pea size amount of the product on your face, but I only use half a pump which I guess makes up to about 1 to 1 1/2 pea sizes? Haha!

It has a very pleasant pepperminty smell which I absolutely adore, and this product made me look forward to cleansing my face every single day! The gel speads easily on the skin, feels really light and not too oily which I also liked. I like how the smell is not too overpowering like how some face products have. The formula absorbs quite quickly into the skin too, and that I like especially in the morning because I tend to rush my skincare routine in the morning due to tardiness. Hehehehe.

It comes in a pump bottle which I find brilliant because it saves the hassel of trying to spend 2309248 years pouring out the product onto your palm without spilling it. :D

After about a week, a week and a half usage, I find that my whiteheads are easily extracted (with the aid of pore packs). Before trying out this product I realised that some stubborn white heads will still be lodged in the skin once I took out the pore pack and that really irritates me because I have to pull them out individually with tweezers. I like to use a pore pack before I spread some of the gel onto my nose area.. I have no idea why though, maybe it's because the tingly feeling you get makes you feel like this baby is doing it's job. :D The sides of my cheeks also looked noticeably smoother and not as rough as it was before.

Did I mention that this can be used under makeup? :D

This item would be something I will be willing to repurchase again, it is that good. :)

Spots Got Shot:

I use this spot treatment only at night because it has more of an 'oilier' feel compared to Off with Those Heads. It contains Salicylic Acid which is supposed to help slough off the dead skin cells and encourage new cell growth. (wow cheem Jay!) I usually apply this after Off with Those Heads and on targeted areas where I get the most pimples i.e. my forehead, my cheek areas and on my jawline.

It has this funny medicated sulphur-ish smell which at first kind of turned me off, but after a while it's fine and it will fade off by itself :) I tend to pat the product into the skin rather than rub it in, I realised it works better that way.

This is not a miracle product i.e. you will wake up the next morning with baby-soft skin but it takes more time than that. I had redness around my cheek areas and it took about a week or two for me to realise that the redness is reducing. I'm not sure if my skin reacts slowly to salicylic acid or whatever, but that was what I noticed.

I really liked the nozzle-tip, it's really sanitary that way and you get a precise amount on your finger. But I screwed the lid on tightly once and the nozzle tip is not split in half :( So you'd have to take caution there!

Here are photos 3 weeks after:

As you can see compared to my previous set of photos my right side looks less inflammed and red.

But oh well my persistent 'bumps' are still apparent but they don't feel as rough now as they did before :)

I hope you enjoyed reading this, till the next post then! xx
